Jay Blahnik, Apple’s director of fitness and health technologies, is holding a Q&A session at the North Michigan Avenue Apple Store in Chicago later today, followed by a 5K run that’s open to all.
The Q&A session promises to provide attendees with “essential tips for staying healthy and active,” presumably with a focus on Apple’s products and services — such as Apple Watch and the health and fitness features backed into iOS.
Once the session is over, Apple will host a 5K fun run that it encourages visitors to take part in. It’s open to all ages and all levels, and Apple asks participants to “bring only what you need (and leave behind what you don’t).”
It’s not currently clear whether Apple and Blahnik plan to host more of these events at other Apple Stores throughout the U.S., but it seems unlikely that this will be the last.
Blahnik has previously toured Apple Stores throughout Asia and Australia to talk to customers about Apple Watch and health and fitness, and he stopped by an Apple Store in the U.K. back in April to promote Apple Watch.
