The largest carrier in Australia, Telstra, today announced that it would be giving bundling a 12-month subscription of Apple Music with its 12 or 24 month Go Mobile Plan on iPhone.
This is the first time that a carrier has announced that it will be giving away free Apple Music subscription with its service.
Additionally, Telstra notes on its website that once the 12 month subscription period ends, it would automatically charge the consumer for Apple Music directly in their bill indicating that the carrier and Apple have worked support for carrier billing for the music streaming service. If you don’t want to pay for Apple Music once your free subscription period ends, make sure to send a message to your carrier informing them to cancel your subscription.
Recently, T-Mobile announced that it has added Apple Music to its Music Freedom service, which means that any data usage incurred while listening to Apple’s streaming music service over the carrier’s network will not count against your monthly data allowance.
You can find the full details about this promotion from Telstra on its website.
