The Apple Watch is a device worthy of its own strap, especially when connected to one of the metal bands, or even the leather options, that Apple has on offer.
But for the folks out there that would rather have a traditional watch on the top of their wrist, but don’t want to miss out on the features offered by the Apple Watch, thePinnacle Collection from accessory maker Nico Gerard might fit the bill. As pictured above in the three different variants, the Pinnacle Collection offers a traditional timepiece on one side, and allows for an Apple Watch to be connected to the strap on the other side, to fit snugly on the underside of the wrist.
The watch combo isn’t cheap, though, with pricing starting at $9,300 for the stainless steel Pinnacle and Skyview Pinnacle models (these are pictured above, in the top-left and top-right, respectively). The price jumps up for the 18-karat gold Sunrise Pinnacle model, which goes for $112,000. Each of the models, with those hefty price tags, come with a 38mm Apple Watch already attached to the strap, though, so no paying even more for the Watch separately.
It’s an interesting idea, to be sure, but one has to wonder if it will find any real traction. If someone does want to go for it, though, Nico Gerard is now accepting pre-orders for the Pinnacle Collection.
What do you think?
