Apple Music added to Billboard Top Charts, marketing going live across the globe

Apple Music marketing campaign
Apple Music launched alongside iOS 8.4 on June 30 of this year, and since then the music streaming service has seen plenty of attention.
And now even more eyes are bound to be keeping track of the service, as the company behind the service has recently launched a worldwide marketing initiative to promote the service in all sorts of new places. As some have pointed out already, Apple Music billboards can e seen in population areas including Tokyo, San Francisco, Toronto, Los Angeles, and Mexico City.
The ads are cropping up in areas where a lot of foot traffic travels, including the Harajuku Metro Station, and bus stops in Mexico City have also been adorned with the new pieces of advertisement.
The marketing is pretty straightforward, showing artists in modified images, along with the logo, Apple Music, in a variety of fonts placed atop them. It’s a similar tack that Apple took with Apple Music marketing on its own site, so it’s certainly a familiar route to go with.
If that’s not enough, Billboard has just announced that Apple Music streaming will now count towards two separate sections: Billboard 200 and the Billboard Hot 100. That means the August charts will see the impact of Apple Music streaming for individual songs, and that will continue well into the future. Apple Music joins the ranks of Groove Music Pass (Microsoft), Spotify, Rdio, Google Play Music and plenty of others.
