The Apple Watch went on sale initially only through the Apple Store, and only via online sales to boot. But, that eventually changed, beginning with physical stock in Apple retail sites.
As the weeks turned into months, the Apple Watch eventually started seeing its presence broadcast at other non-Apple retailers. Specifically, Best Buy in the United States began selling the Apple Watch on August 7, and Best Buy Canada started selling the wearable on August 14. And, sales have been so good, that Best Buy already has plans to rollout Watch availability across all of its stores at an accelerated pace.
Now, according to a new report from MacRumors, and citing images sent to the publication, Currys (or Currys and PC World), in the United Kingdom is gearing up to sell the Apple Watch, too. That’s quite an imprint in the region, considering Currys and PC World hosts a total of 295 superstores 73 high street stores in both Ireland and the United Kingdom. There’s no telling which stores will get the Apple Watch, or how many of them will have availability.
Unfortunately, as noted in the original report, doing a search for the Apple Watch on Currys’ website only prompts that the wearable isn’t available, but that there are plenty of other options from manufacturers like LG, Pebble, and others.
This wouldn’t be the first international retailer to get access to the Apple Watch. As mentioned above, Canada already got in the fun through Best Buy, and Fnac in France also went live with sales as well.
