Swatch files trademark for ‘One more thing,’ the well known phrase made famous by Steve Jobs

At Apple events, when Steve Jobs was on stage and the event was nearing its completion, the world became aware of a simple, yet striking phrase. And now Swatch wants to trademark it.
One of the most common phrases that has ever spawned from Apple is “One more thing,” made ridiculously popular by the company’s late CEO and co-founder, Steve Jobs. But now, according to a trademark filing located by Patently Apple, that phrase might be coopted by Swiss watch maker Swatch, as the company initially filed for the phrase’s trademark back in November of 2014.
Without any intervention, Swatch’s trademark filing will expire in 2024.
Interestingly enough, that’s not the only Apple-related phrase that Swatch wants. The company has also sought a trademark for “Tick Different,” which is immediately familiar to Apple’s “Think Different” marketing campaign. As for what the company plans on doing with the “One more thing” phrase, it’s unknown at this point. One would imagine it would have something to do with watches at some point in the future.
What do you think of Swatch’s move?
