Weather apps are a dime-a-dozen, but Yahoo!’s offering has always managed to stand out. Now, some new alerts might make it even more worthwhile to users.
Yahoo Weather was recently updated to provide a few more weather alerts to its users, letting those using the app know when rain or snow is about to fall. According to Yahoo, the Weather app will now alert users up to 15 minutes before snow or rain is expected to fall in your neck-of-the-woods:
“Today we’re introducing new weather alerts around the world – you’ll never be stuck outside, unprepared again. Yahoo Weather, our beautiful and intuitive weather app, will alert you 15 minutes before rain or snow is expected, so you can grab your jacket, rain boots or umbrella!“
On their end, Yahoo! says that they’ve updated the ways they determine and rate forecasts, all in an effort to make the app even more accurate in its daily routine.
The updated Yahoo Weather app should be available now, with the newest version being 1.8. A link to the app is below.
