The Apple Watch gets a massive floral window promotion at Selfridges

The Apple Watch is seeing some new marketing promotions in London right now, as Apple launches an entirely different marketing campaign.
As initially discovered by design magazine Wallpapers, the new marketing initiative is taking place within the Selfridges department store in London. Within that store’s 24 windows, Apple has hoisted an intricate flower design within them, showcasing the unique flowers that are showcased within the “Motion” watch face on the Apple Watch.
The window promotion also shows an actual Apple Watch on display, showcasing the same flower on the wearable’s display.
The three-dimensional art was put together in a variety of ways, including 3D printing and resin casting, all in an effort to make the promotion look as unique as possible. There are eight different designs in all, andWallpaper says the attention to detail and the creation of the promotions was as “painstaking and meticulous as the original photography.” For the flowers, Apple actually photographed them as they bloomed, which took 285 hours and upwards of 24,000 individual shots.

For the installations themselves, the print says that artists created a variety of items, including 24 large, 50 medium, 240 “small plus” and 5,525 small flowers to create the gorgeous promotional pieces.
