Apple today updated the list of banks and financial institutions that are supported by Apple Pay in the United States to reflect the addition of 54 new institutions.
Like clockwork, Apple has been adding support for financial institutions to Apple Pay twice a month every month since the release of the payment service last year in October. As of now, Apple Pay supports 650 different banks and financial institutions in the U.S., which is larger than what any other NFC based mobile payment service supports.

Besides United States, Apple Pay is also available in the United Kingdom, though Apple has been slow in rolling out support for its NFC based payment service to more banks and financial institutions in the country. The company is also committed to expanding Apple Pay to Canada, China, and other regions of the world.
