It’s another beta day for Apple, as the company recently released the second iOS 9.2 beta to developers and now OS X is getting its time in the light, too.
On Tuesday, November 3, Apple seeded the second beta for OS X El Capitan 10.11.2 to developers. This marks a week since Apple released the first beta for the upcoming desktop operating system, and two weeks since Apple publicly released OS X 10.11.1 to the masses.
The new software is available through the Apple Developer Center, or through the Mac App Store and its Update tab on machines that are already running the first beta.
As far as what’s new, it’s not known at this point. The update will likely keep the focus on behind-the-scenes tweaks, including performance enhancements, security, and other tweaks to improve the overall experience. As quickly as this new beta was released, it’s likely that the software is also meant to address whatever issues developers discovered since the release of the first beta a week ago.
Are you trying out OS X 10.11.2?
