Right now, Personal Pickup is available only in the United States, as it has been since 2011 when it officially launched.
But that could be changing, if a report published by MacRumors is to be believed. Citing information gathered from unnamed sources, the publication states that Apple is preparing to launch Personal Pickup in its physical retail stores outside of the United States as early as November, 2015. Of those regions, that includes the United Kingdom, France, and Australia, among others.
The report goes further to suggest that the international rollout of Personal Pickup could coincide with the launch of Apple’s iPad Pro tablet, which is rumored to go on sale beginning November 11. However, the report also states that Apple could be considering delaying the rollout further towards the end of 2015, or possibly well into 2016.
Personal Pickup allows a customer to purchase an item from Apple’s online store or through the Apple Store iOS app, and then have that product available to pick up in a physical retail store near them within an hour of the order’s completion. For those that don’t like to ship things, or simply want to have an item ready to go once they arrive, Personal Pickup is a welcomed option.
Have you tried out Personal Pickup yet?
