SwitchService: New iOS 9 Jailbreak tweak lets you switch between SMS and iMessage

switchService
Back in the days of iOS 7, biteSMS was one of the most popular tweaks bringing vast improvements to the stock Messages app. One of the nifty features of the tweak was the ability to quickly switch between SMS and iMessage via the Send button.
Although biteSMS hasn’t been update for a long time, some of its features have been adopted by other jailbreak tweaks. SwitchService is a new jailbreak tweak that brings back the ability to switch between iMessage and SMS with just a tap and hold gesture.
I always find it frustrating when I want to send an SMS but it gets sent as an iMessage. SwitchService solves this problem by allowing you to tap and hold on the Send button to switch between iMessage or SMS.
The color of the Send button changes to reflect the type of the message. For example, the button will be colored green if it is an SMS message and blue for iMessage. The button also features a sleek ripple animation when tapping and holding on it to switch the message type.
SwitchService also comes with a dedicated preferences pane available in Settings where you can enable or disable it via the kill switch toggle as well as adjust the touch hold duration. A longer duration means that you have to perform the tap and hold gesture for a longer time before the message type changes.
The tweak works perfectly as advertised without any issues and is definitely useful to quickly switch between SMS and iMessage. If you’d like to give it a try, SwitchService is up for grabs from the following repo: http://repo.ioscreatix.com.
