On July 28, it was revealed that Apple’s Beats by Dre support services had turned to native Twitter video to promote product guides in a new way to reach out brand awareness.
In another area of quick videos, Apple Music is using Snapchat to promote quick behind-the-scenes looks at DJ Zane Lowe and the Beats 1 Los Angeles-based headquarters. By way of the Snapchat username “applemusic” the social media presence is using the quick video format to provide quick glimpses of what it looks like beyond the cover.
The first of the pair of new Snapchat Stories includes a look at the different marketing for Apple’s iPhone, with Apple Music branding placed on top of it. The rest of the clip then gives a quick look at DJ Zane Lowe entering the L.A.-based Beats 1 headquarters, and gives a brief look at the DJ at work. The second Snapchat Story gives another look at Lowe behind-the-scenes.
There’s a link below to download Snapchat, which is a free app, for those that want to follow along with Apple Music via the social networking service. You’ll need to swipe down from the main screen to find the “Find Friends” option, and then input “applemusic” to find the correct page and aforementioned videos. Once that’s done, you’ll need to access the Stories section of Snapchat, which is a quick swipe to the left from the main screen.
