Apple Watch early adopters making healthier life decisions, new research finds

The Apple Watch has plenty of functionality baked into the wearable, and some of those are geared towards fitness and overall health goals for the owner.
According to a new report issued from Wristly, a market researcher, early adopters of the Apple Watch have actively taken a far healthier outlook on their lives, and made changes to their daily routines to better adjust to the goals that have been set on the wearable. Wristly’s panel included nearly 1,000 Apple Watch owners, and of that number over 75 percent of them said that they “Strongly Agree” or “Agree” that they have been standing more ever since they strapped the Watch onto their wrist. (The Apple Watch can notify the wearer to stand up at certain intervals throughout a day.)
Digging deeper into the report, a total of 67% of the respondents said that they have been walking more since buying the Apple Watch, while 59% said that they have been making better health choices. 57% of the feedback indicated that they have been working out more ever since the Apple Watch came into their lives.
Moreover, the report also indicated that early adopters are generally happy with the built-in health features tied to the Apple Watch. The report shows that an aggregate 89 percent of the respondents said they were “Very Satisfied” or “Satisfied” with the Activity sensor. 80% said they were satisfied with the heart rate sensor, and, finally, that 75 percent were satisfied with the workout app.
All in all, the report indicates that early adopters are generally more healthy, but considering it’s a small pool of the wide ocean of owners, it would be interesting to see how the health options on the wearable stack up for owners.
How do you like the health options on the device?
