Apple TV 4 to come with Siri integration in eight countries initially

Apple TV 4 pricing
Apple heavily touted the Siri integration in the new Apple TV 4 at its ‘Hey Siri’ event yesterday. What the company, however, did not reveal at the event is that Siri will only be available in five languages in eight countries on the Apple TV 4 initially.
The list of eight countries where the Apple TV 4 will come with Siri integration out of the box include:
  • Australia
  • Canada
  • France
  • Germany
  • Japan
  • Spain
  • United Kingdom
  • United States
In other regions, the Siri functionality will not be available on Apple TV 4. In these regions, Apple will also be bundling a different variant of its remote for Apple TV; one without a Siri button. Instead, the button will be replaced with a search button.
It is likely that Apple will add support for more languages in Siri on the Apple TV 4 with future updates. However, it remains unclear if a future update will also make the search button on the remote bundled with the Apple TV 4 act as a dedicated Siri button or not.
The new Apple TV goes on sale in late October and comes with its own tvOS. It features its own dedicated App Store, comes with a new remote that features a touchpad and can also act as a game controller, Siri integration, and more.
