On September 9, Apple introduced its brand new iteration of its no-longer-a-hobby set-top box, and with it, outlined the future of TV and casual gaming (as far as it concerns the Apple TV).
Part of that focus on gaming is support for third-party Bluetooth controllers, and, for those that keep track of companies that build accessories for the gaming industry, SteelSeries has another product that will probably want to get adopted by those that want to play games on their new Apple TV.
It’s called the Nimbus, and it’s a Bluetooth controller that the company plans on launching alongside the public release of the new Apple TV. It will retail for $49.95 when it does become available. SteelSeries says the rechargeable battery inside can last more than 40 hours, and there’s a Lightning connector for when you do need to charge it.
The face buttons are pressure-sensitive, too, which should make specific control input easier in some types of games.
It’ll be available later this year. What do you think of the Nimbus?
