Last year, HP unveiled the MB Chronowing, a straightforward smartwatch with an old-time design. Now HP’s back with a more futuristic design and more features.
HP has teamed up with Movado to bring to life what is being called the Bold Motion. At first glance, the new smartwatch does look futuristic, with its silver-on-black and seemingly TRON-inspired highlights.
As far as features go, the Bold Motion will notify you when you’ve got a new call coming in, a text message, and even show you your daily step count. There are blue LEDs equipped in the watch’s face that will light up when there are new notifications. There’s a Movado app that iOS users will need to download to tweak some features on the watch. You’ll need to be running iOS 8 or later to support the Bold Motion.
The casing for the Bold Motion is stainless steel, and there’s a PVD-finished bezel for good measure. Movado says that the Bold Motion can survive being submersed in water up to 50 meters, and it’s outfitted with a black silicone strap.
Price is set at $695, and the companies say the watch will be sold online and it will be available “in time for the holidays.”
What do you think of the Bold Motion?
