Apple is focusing on the software for the Apple Watch, improving it in many ways, and giving plenty of Watch owners something to look forward to with watchOS 2.
The new software was initially introduced at the keynote for this year’s Worldwide Developers Conference, and includes plenty of new features. On June 23, Apple released the second beta for watchOS 2 to developers, giving them new, slightly updated software to test and developer for. With this new beta, it will allow developers to continue to test apps that run natively on the wearable, as well as gain access to the Watch’s other features, including the Digital Crown and built-in sensors.
As far as new features go for the software, consumers should expect to find a new Time Travel feature, which will let them check out information on upcoming events right from the wearable, a new Nightstand Mode, three new watch faces, and access to third-party watch face Complications. For those that are running the first beta of watchOS 2, the new software is available as an over the air (OTA) update via the iOS 9 Apple Watch Companion App.
