‘Shot on iPhone’ campaign earns Apple top Outdoor Lions prize at Cannes Festival

Apple’s ‘Shot on iPhone‘ campaign, which showcases photos and videos taken on an iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus, scooped the top prize in the Outdoor Lions category at the Cannes Grand Prix Festival this week.
The 162 photos from the Shot on iPhone campaign have feature both on Apple’s website, and on billboards around the world in 25 countries. The company recently added videos, too — all of which can be found on its website and YouTube channel.
“According to the jury president Juan Carlos Ortiz, creative chairman at DDB Americas, the judges didn’t so much choose “World Gallery,” it chose them,” FastCompany reports. Ortiz said, “It’s not just a great idea, it’s a game changer. It’s really opening a new way of doing things and changing behavior.”
Apple also picked up five Gold Lions for the campaign. Other award winners included Honda, Save the Children, KFC, and Unicef.
