Along with the second beta of iOS 9, Apple has also seeded the second beta of OS X 10.11 El Capitan to developers. The second beta carries the build number 15A204h, and is available for download through the Mac App Store and Apple Developer Center.
The latest version of OS X comes with a number of performance and user experience improvements. As Apple stated during the unveiling of the OS at WWDC earlier this month, these improvements should lead to some significant improvements in day-to-day usage performance.
OS X 10.11 El Capitan is supported by the following Macs:
- iMac (Mid 2007 or newer)
- MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer)
- MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer)
- Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer)
- MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer)
- Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer)
- Xserve (Early 2009)
- The second beta of El Capitan should bring about some bug fixes and more performance improvements. We will have a detailed log of the changes in the second beta of El Capitan soon.
