Hot on the heels of releasing the second public beta for iOS 9.1, and following the public launch for iOS 9.0.1, Apple has seeded an updated version of the software meant for its newest smartphones.
On Friday, September 25, Apple is set to launch the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, and for anyone that is picking up their newest phone, there will be a new software update waiting for you soon after you turn the device on. It’s iOS 9.0.1, the same software that Apple released to iOS devices yesterday, but this is meant specifically to add support for the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, which that original release did not.
As far as the software itself, it’s still just a minor update, meant to fix several different issues, including a fix that was preventing some users from upgrading to iOS 9, which manifested in a failed “Slide to Upgrade” lock screen.
Are you picking up an iPhone 6s or 6s Plus tomorrow?
