BioShock for iOS temporarily removed from App Store due to compatibility issues

BioShock iOS
Last year, 2K Games ported one of the most popular first-person shooter titles over to iOS, but now anyone that’s looking for BioShock won’t find it available to download.
According to a report published by Polygon, a search for BioShock rewards no results, and 2K Games has recently confirmed that they’ve pulled the game from the App Store following compatibility issues with the title. Specifically, it appears that the game does not support any iOS versions newer than iOS 8.3, and that was causing issues for players.
According to a spokesperson for 2K Games, the game is currently being worked on with the aim to make it support newer versions of Apple’s mobile operating system, and when the work is finished they’ll be putting the game back in the App Store:
“2K is fixing the compatibility issue, and when resolved, will place BioShock back on the App Store for purchase.”
Unfortunately, there’s no timetable for when the fixes will be complete.
Interestingly enough, the issue withBioShock and the newer versions of iOS was actually discovered back in July, and it’s only been pulled now. 2K China is the company that developed the port, but it’s unknown if the studio will be working on the game now.
If the game is currently installed on a device which is running a version of iOS 8.3 or older, it will work fine. Otherwise, the title will reportedly not function.
And for those curious, BioShock for Mac is still available.
