In April of this year, a report surfaced that suggested Apple Pay, the mobile payment option from Apple, could launch in Canada in November.
In the meantime, support for Apple Pay in the United States continues onward, and the payment option is available in the United Kingdom, too. For Canadians wanting to use Apple’s method to pay for things, the wait has been long. Those rumors could be coming true, though, if a brief reference is any indication.
As reported by iPhone in Canada, a reference to Apple Pay appeared on TD Canada Trust’s website under “Ways to Pay.” The reference was pulled relatively quickly after it was posted, though. Before it was, it was revealed that TD Visa cards would be supported by the mobile payment option, and that transactions would be limited to $100.
It’s not anything official just yet, but with November right around the corner, and with a reference like that popping up, it is looking more and more likely that Apple Pay could launch in the Great North soon.
