On October 1, Tapbots officially updated Tweetbot to version 4, which brought with it plenty of new features, some tied specifically to iOS 9.
Now, just 13 days later there’s another update available for the popular Twitter app, which brings the version to 4.0.1. This update is geared almost specifically for iPhone 6s and 6s Plus owners, as it adds support for 3D Touch features. That includes Quick Actions, which can be deployed by hard-pressing on the Tweetbot app icon on the Home screen. Those actions include “Tweet,” which actually opens the app, loads the keyboard, and lets you immediately start typing a tweet. The other options include “Tweet Last Photo,” and “Show Activity.”
The app also features support for Peek and Pop within the app, which will allow users to peek into a link, or preview an tweeted image. Using 3D Touch on a tweet and sliding up will allow users to Favorite, Retweet, Quote, or reply directly to that tweet as well.
Tapbots says that support for 3D Touch will be coming to other areas of the app in the future.
The update also features Japanese, French, and Spanish localization. There are bug fixes as well.
Here’s the changelog:
