Apple has delayed the launch of the iPhone 6s in Turkey

iPhone 6s
The iPhone 6s has been available in several different countries for a bit of time now, but others are still waiting to see the device launch in their neck of the woods.
That includes Turkey, which was originally part of an additional rollout that is scheduled to kick off on Friday, October 16. However, it has recently been confirmed that events in the region have prompted Apple to delay the launch of the iPhone 6s. According to a report published initially by AppleToolBox, and citing an email that Apple sent out to partners in the region, Apple has decided to delay the launch of the iPhone 6s in Turkey “until further notice.”
For its part, Apple’s iPhone 6s website for Turkey now showcases an October 23 launch date.
The delay is due to a bombing that took place in Turkey’s capital of Ankara, which took the lives of 97 people. Recently, Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook, tweeted out his condolences to those affected by the terrorist attack.
For now, the delay could extend the launch to a week after initial plans, but that could go longer as well.
