Apple releases first OS X El Capitan 10.11.2 beta to public testers

OS X El Capitan logo
This week has been busy for beta software. Earlier this week Apple released the first beta of OS X El Capitan 10.11.2 to developers, right on the heels of iOS 9.2 being released for developers, too.
Now, after Apple released the first public beta of iOS 9.2, Apple has released the first public beta for its next version of its desktop software, OS X 10.11.2. This comes two days after the first developer release, and just over a week after Apple released the OS X 10.11.1 to the public.
For machines that are running beta software already, the newest beta is available through the Mac App Store and its Update tab. For those that want to sign up for the public beta program, head through the source link below.
As far as what’s new in the beta software, it’s unknown at this time. It’s a safe bet that it is mostly under-the-hood improvements and performance enhancements.
