Following on the heels of the third beta release for iOS 9.2, Apple has also seeded the latest developer beta for the upcoming OS X El Capitan 10.11.2.
On Tuesday, November 10, Apple seeded the third beta for OS X El Capitan 10.11.2 to developers. With this release, it comes two weeks after the first beta was released, and just one week after the second developer beta was released for the upcoming desktop software. It comes three weeks after Apple publicly released OS X El Capitan 10.11.1 to the public.
The new beta is available through the Mac App Store and the Update tab on machines already running the beta software, or through a direct download via Apple’s Developer Center.
As far as what’s new, it’s not known at this point. The update will likely keep the focus on behind-the-scenes tweaks, including performance enhancements, a focus on security, and other tweaks to improve the overall experience.
With the release of OS X El Capitan 10.11.1 in October, Apple brought a slate of new emoji to users, along with plenty of fixes to the software that saw Microsoft’s Office suite of apps finally supported by the updated platform, as well as fixes for Apple’s stock Mail app.
