Rumors have swirled regarding an upcoming breaking news app from Facebook, which, based on the rumors, would be called Notify.
And now the Rumor Mill can count another victory, as the social networking giant has officially unveiled a brand new notifications app called Notify. This app isn’t meant to just provide breaking news in a single category, but covers a variety of different markets, including weather, sports, news, and even carries access to historical images by way of Getty.
Notifications will be provided for a story throughout a day as more information is provided, and the notifications themselves can be tweaked for the stories and topics a user will want to be notified on. Users will also be able to save notifications to a save later option, so if they want to check up on something later that’s a possibility as well.
