Apple today released the first public beta of OS X 10.10.5 to testers. The public beta comes a couple of days after the company had released a beta of the OS meant for developers.
The public beta carries the same build number (14F6a) as the beta meant for developers, so there are no changes between the two versions. OS X 10.10.5 does not seem to bring any major visual change or enhancements, and it is likely that it will only bring about improvements to stability of the OS. It is likely that if no major bugs are reported by testers, Apple will release the same build for the final OS X 10.10.5 release.
With the final release of OS X El Capitan just a few months away now, it is likely that OS X 10.10.5 will be the last major update to the OS.Public beta testers of OS X can download the latest beta of OS X 10.10 through the Mac App Store.
