Apple will open its fourth retail store in Hong Kong on July 30 at 9 a.m. local time, the company has confirmed. The store will be located at 100 Canton Road in the upmarket retail district of Tsim Sha Tsui.
Following its grand opening, the new store will be operating Monday through Sunday between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. Not only will it be Apple’s fourth retail store in Hong Kong — following the Causeway Bay, Festival Walk, and IFC Mall locations — but it’ll also be one of the company’s biggest in Asia.
The expansion comes as Apple and its products are becoming increasingly successful in China. CEO Tim Cook vowed last year to make China a priority for Apple, where consumers cannot get enough of its latest products — the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in particular.During the first quarter of this year, Apple saw its revenue skyrocket 157 percent in China, and Cook has promised that Apple Pay will be available there soon.
Apple has been hard at work putting the final touches on the Canton Road store this month, and now it has confirmed that doors will open for the first time on Thursday, July 30.
