Apple TV adds new Apple Music Festival channel ahead of event start

Apple Music TV channel
Almost a month ago now Apple officially announced the newest music-focused event, in September.
Previously known as the iTunes Music Festival, Apple changed the name to the Apple Music Festival in honor of its brand new music streaming service. The event begins on September 19, so it’s about time that Apple added the channel to its set-top box.
Apple TV users can dig into a bit more information through the app, including countdowns to specific performances from your favorite artists, as well as links to iTunes so you can buy their music, too. Unfortunately there’s no access to Apple Music, as the current (and older) generation of Apple TVs don’t support this feature (but the new Apple TV does!). The festival will have artists like Ellie Goulding, and even The Weeknd, on board with plenty of others to fill out the event.
You’ll be able to watch the Apple Music Festival through the Apple TV, as well as on the iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch, as well as iTunes.
