Honda debuts the 2016 Civic with CarPlay support

2016 Honda Civic CarPlay
In July of this year, Honda confirmed that the first of its vehicles to feature Apple’s in-car system, CarPlay, would be the 2016 Accord.
That makes the 2016 Civic, which the manufacturer recently debuted at YouTube Space LA, the second vehicle from the Japan-based Honda to feature CarPlay. It’s been quite the wait for CarPlay support from Honda, despite the fact that Apple has listed the company as a partner for a long while now. Honda does at least have plans to continue to support CarPlay, though, so while the Accord and Honda are the first cars to support it, more should be coming down the line at some point.
Of course, Honda isn’t the first or only company to support CarPlay, with Volkswagen putting the in-car system in its own vehicles, and even using Siri to show off the features in a new ad. General Motors is also supporting CarPlay moving forward, with a wide range of Chevrolet vehicles featuring the technology.
Have you tried out CarPlay yet?
