There are several different bands to choose from for the Apple Watch, in two distinct sizes, but that larger 42mm option might not be big enough for some owners.
To help those that want a bigger option, Apple has introduced a brand new Link bracelet kit that allows for the Link bracelet to expand quite a bit. According to Apple, the new kit will include six additional links, which will expand the bracelet by up to 40mm, which boosts the maximum size up to 245mm.
Right now, Apple is showing that the 42mm Link Bracelet Kit will ship out in five to seven business days, and it costs $49.99. Considering that many customers have been asking for XL bands within Apple’s own forums, it’s not a surprise that this kit exists. It will be interesting to see if even larger bands are introduced at a later date.
Update: Apple didn’t wait long to introduce other larger band offerings. It’s now been confirmed that there are XL Sport Bands available, too, which will extend the band to fit wrists up to 245mm. Previously, the largest Sport Band, 42mm, only went up to wrists 210mm. The new XL Sport Bands only come in black and white for now, and they cost $49, too.
