Siri helped save a teenager’s life after he became trapped under a truck and was unable to use his arms. The 18-year-old from Murfreesboro, Tennessee, was working under his vehicle when it fell on him, and no one heard his calls for help.
The man realized he was able to using Siri by “pushing up on his hip” when he heard the virtual assistant’s activation sound coming from the iPhone in his back pocket as he moved. He realized this was his opportunity to call for help, so he asked Siri to call 911.
“He finally heard dispatchers on the line and received the help he needed,” reports Fox 17.
Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s trauma team, LifeFlight, and Murfreesboro EMS certainly did their bit to save the 18-year-old, but if it wasn’t for Siri initially, there’s a good chance he wouldn’t have made it out alive.
