For apps that deal with people’s money, security is paramount. Even logging into an app to check up on a balance should have a focus on keeping that information safe.
After plenty of buildup, Bank of America has finally announced that its iOS app has been updated to support Apple’s Touch ID. With this addition, users will be able to use the fingerprint sensor to log into their account and check the information they’re looking for, all without needing to tap in a password. The app is also been shuffled around a bit, adding in a What’s New area, while also changing the Accounts Overview page, too.
On top of that, there’s a new Security Center feature that will give users even more control over accessing their content at a secure level, including having the ability to send a one-time authentication code via email.
There’s a new Apple Watch app, too, for those that want banking information on their wrist.
