Jailbreak is all about customizing your iOS device and bringing new features that would otherwise not be available to a normal user running on stock iOS. Grid Messages is a jailbreak tweak that brings a new look to the Messages app and changes the way you interact with it.
Normally, all the conversations are displayed as a table view within the app but with Grid Messages, you can switch to grid view so that the conversations will be displayed as grids rather than as a table. The grid view displays approximately 12 conversations per page, and you can open any particular conversation by simply tapping on the corresponding grid.
What’s good about Grid Messages is that you can easily switch between the table view and grid view by tapping on the corresponding button available in the top left corner of Messages. It also comes with an edit functionality allowing you to choose multiple conversations at once and delete them.
After installing Grid Messages, there is no additional configuration required. Simply head to the Messages app and tap on the grid view button to view messages as grids. The grids also display a very brief preview of the recent message in a conversation.
Grid Messages is a nice concept and the ability to switch between the table view, and grid view is what I like mostly about it. However, the major issue is that it is very glitchy and doesn’t provide a smooth experience. I believe that the developer needs to spend more time on the tweak to make it bug-free and suitable for daily use.
