iPhone 6s order status changing to ‘Preparing for shipment’ for some customers

iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus
Selected customers who pre-ordered the iPhone 6s are seeing their order status change from “Processing Items” to “Preparing for Shipment” on their order page. Customers who pre-ordered the iPhone 6s Plus are not reporting a similar change in their order status though.
However, since both handsets are scheduled to arrive at the door of their customers on September 25, it is likely that the iPhone 6s Plus order status will also start changing to “Preparing for Shipment” sometime soon. The change in pre-order status has occurred for customers who live in Canada, France, Germany, and the United Kingdom. Surprisingly, customers in the United States have not noticed any change in their order status.
Even though FedEX, UPS or other courier delivery services may receive the iPhone 6s early, they will only deliver it to the intended customer on September 25. It is only in rare cases that a delivery might occur a day early.
The iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus are also scheduled to hit the retail stores in the United States, United Kingdom, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Singapore, and a few other countries. Apple is also reported to announce the second wave of launch countries for the new iPhones on the same day.
Has your iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus pre-order status changed? If yes, which variant did you order and where do you live? Drop in a comment and let us know!
