Do Not Disturb is a useful feature of iOS that allows you to silence all incoming calls and alerts with the flick of a single toggle. The scheduling feature doesn’t have enough capability to support calendar events as well. This is why a new jailbreak tweak known as MeetingDnD has been developed to provide this functionality.
The tweak allows you to enable Do Not Disturb mode for the calendar events that you are creating such that when the corresponding event takes place, the mode will be enabled automatically without requiring you to do it.
The tweak adds a Do Not Disturb toggle to the bottom of the new event interface. To be able to toggle it on for an event you’re creating, you should first make sure that it is not set to an all day event and there is at least one alert associated with it. Once enabled, the tweak will automatically toggle on Do Not Disturb mode as soon as the event starts.
MeetingDnD also comes with a dedicated preferences pane available in Settings where users can choose to have Do Not Disturb mode enabled automatically when creating a new appointment. You can also ensure that the scheduled DND does not end up disabling DND before the end of the meeting.
It might also be possible to schedule Do Not Disturb to be turned on when an event starts but it is limited to a single time period only. With MeetingDnD, you can schedule as many Do Not Disturb events as possible.
If you’re in to give this tweak a try, it is available for $1.99 on Cydia’s BigBoss repo. Make sure to leave your opinion about the tweak in the comments section below.
