Despite the fact that iOS 9 is not yet available to the public just yet, a quick forecast of the expectations for Apple’s next mobile operating system suggests it might go pretty well for the company.
iOS 9 is set to launch on Wednesday, September 16, and Crittercism, a mobile app intelligence platform, has put together a forecast of what the launch might look like in the coming days and weeks. According to the report, seven days after the launch Crittercism states that they believe iOS 9 will see a 31 percent adoption rate, which compares to the 35% that Apple saw during the same period for iOS 8.
However, the report states that Apple will probably see a 50% adoption rate by day 25. Compare that to iOS 8, which saw the same level of adoption on day 28.
What’s worth noting is that Crittercism states that iOS 9’s crash levels are only at 2.77%, versus the crash levels of iOS 8 over the same period of time was at 3.48%. So it looks like iOS 9 is seeing a smoother release in its current Golden Master state, which should carry over nicely for the public when it launches tomorrow.
Are you already trying out iOS 9, or are you waiting to install it tomorrow?
