Yesterday, the Beats 1 Twitter account confirmed another big exclusive deal: nominees for the upcoming Video Music Awards would be announced exclusively on the global radio station.
However, Apple has updated its official system status page to reflect several different instances of service disruption across different services, including Beats 1, Apple Music, iTunes, the App Store, OS X software update, Apple TV, the iBooks Store, and the Volume Purchasing Program.
In the United States and Canada, many of these services are indeed popping up error messages, or are simply not connecting.
According to Apple’s page, the outages have been going on since around 6:45 AM PT/9:45 AM ET:
“Users are experiencing a problem with the services listed above. We are investigating and will update the status as more information becomes available.“
This isn’t the first outage Apple has suffered in the month of July, with an extended outage impacting many users earlier in the month.
While Apple continues to investigate the issue, we’ll update this page when services get the green light again.
Update: As of 10:38 AM PT/1:38 PM ET, Apple says that all services are back up and running as they should be.
