Apple announced last week that the Apple Watch will make its debut in New Zealand on July 31, and this week the Cupertino company has confirmed local pricing. It has also revealed Apple Watch pricing for Turkey and Russia, where the device will go on sale on the same day.
In Turkey, the Apple Watch Sport starts at TRY 1,249 for a 38mm model, and rises to TRY 1,399 for a 42mm model. The midrange Apple Watch is priced at TRY 1,999 and TRY 2,149 respectively — if you don’t mind a Sport strap — and the Apple Watch Edition starts at TRY 34,000.
In Russia, a 38mm Apple Watch Sport costs RUB 23,990, while the 42mm model is priced at RUB 27,990. A 38mm Apple Watch is RUB 37,990, and a 42mm model is RUB 41,990. Russia also gets the Apple Watch Edition, which starts at RUB 660,000.
In New Zealand, the Apple Watch Sport is priced at NZ$599 for a 38mm model and NZ$699 for the 42mm model, while the stainless steel models are priced at NZ$949 and NZ$1,049 respectively. Apple Watch Edition starts at NZ$17,500 for a 38mm model and NZ$21,000 for a 42mm model.
This makes Apple Watch slightly more expensive in New Zealand than it is in the U.S., but the New Zealand prices do include taxes. The same goes for the Turkey and Russia prices, which are even higher still, thanks to the strength of the dollar against the Turkish Lira and the Russian Ruble.
Apple Watch will go on sale in Turkey, New Zealand, and Russia on Friday, July 31, at 7:01 a.m. local time.
