In late February, the team behind the original Pebble officially announced the Pebble Time, the successor to the popular smartwatch that effectively jumpstarted the market.
In June, the company announced that the wearable had gone up for pre-order at Best Buy for those in the United States, letting those that wanted to get the wearable through the big box retailer log their pre-orders and get the watch delivered to their doorstep when it became available.
For those that didn’t want to pre-order, and opted to wait to buy the wearable in-store, the wait is finally over. Pebble has confirmed that the Pebble Time is now available to buy in Best Buy stores in the United States. And, changing things up this time around, the newest smartwatch from Pebble will also be available in Target stores in the United States beginning the week of August 17.
The Pebble Time is available in three strap colors: black, white, red and retails for $199.99. The Pebble Time Steel is still “coming soon,” but finalized dates are not known at this point. The launch news arrives on the same day a survey revealed that customer satisfaction for the Apple Watch is 97%, higher than any first generation product from Apple, including the iPhone and iPad.
Do you plan on picking up the Pebble Time? If you do, you’ll need the iOS companion app to take full advantage of the wearable, a link to which is available below.
