Apple today released the fifth beta of iOS 9 (build number: 13A4325c) for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch to developers.
The latest beta comes just over a fortnight after the fourth beta was released by the company, which re-introduced Home Sharing for Apple Music and added the Handoff option within the App Switcher.
With just over a month left before Apple reportedly unveils the new iPhones, it is likely that the company is focusing on bug fixes and refinements with its beta releases now.
iOS 9 beta 5 is currently available only to registered developers of Apple’s Developer Program. A public beta release of the OS will likely happen sometime later this month.
iOS 9 is compatible with the following iOS devices:
- iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5, iPhone 4S
- iPad Air 2, iPad Air, iPad 4, iPad mini, iPad 3, iPad 2
- iPad mini 3, Retina iPad mini (iPad mini 2), iPad mini
- 5th generation iPod touch
The latest beta of iOS 9 is available as an OTA update for users who have already installed iOS 9 beta. It is also available in Member Center on Apple’s Developer website for users who prefer installing it manually.
Update:
Apple has also released iOS 9 public beta 3 to beta testers. Thanks Steven for the tip!
