Steve Jobs’ biopic has been chosen as the Closing Night film at the BFI London Film Festival

Steve Jobs official trailer
Films are no strangers to festivals, and it looks like the biopic centered around Apple’s former CEO, Steve Jobs, is more than willing to make the rounds.
At the tail-end of July, it was confirmed that Steve Jobs would be the Centerpiece of the 53rd annual New York Film Festival, which means that screening will go up for festival-goers on October 3. In the United States, the film will open widely on October 9, so those that make the screening at the festival will get just under a week’s advance on the majority.
For those in London, though, the wait will have to be extended a bit, even as the film shows up at yet another festival. It’s been confirmed that the film will premiere at the BFI London Film Festival on October 18. Steve Jobs has been selected as the final film on Closing Night, wrapping up the festival.
Steve Jobs is set to open up in the United Kingdom on November 13.
Here’s what the film’s director, Danny Boyle, had to say about the announcement:
If London was the cradle of the Industrial Revolution then San Francisco is the Bethlehem of the digital one. We had a brilliant time making this movie in Silicon Valley and I hope Londoners will enjoy a behind-the-scenes look into the making of the modern world. It’s always special to bring work home so thanks to BFI London Film Festival for their continued support.
Steve Jobs stars Michael Fassbender as Steve Jobs, Seth Rogen as Steve Wozniak, and Kate Winslet as Joanna Hoffman. It’s written by Aaron Sorkin and it’s based on the autobiography of Jobs written by Walter Isaacson.
