Dr. Dre’s first album in 15 years, “Compton: A Soundtrack,” is today available to stream on Apple Music for the first time. The album is exclusive to Apple’s services, and can also be purchased from iTunes, with all royalties going to an arts center in Compton, Los Angeles.
Dre announced his new album yesterday during Zane Lowe’s show on Beats 1, and confirmed he would be donating all of his royalties. “I feel it’s the right thing to do and I hope everybody appreciates the work I put into this album,” Dre said.
Today, the entire 16-track album, which features appearances from the likes of Eminem, Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg, and Kendrick Lamar, is available to those who are currently enjoying the three-month free trial of Apple Music. It can also be purchased from iTunes for $13.99.
